Cookies & local storage

Last updated August 2026

Short version

Tapjeta uses only the browser storage it needs to work. We do not run advertising cookies and we do not share browsing data with ad networks.

Essential storage

When you sign in, your session is stored in your browser so you stay signed in between visits. Removing it signs you out. We also remember small preferences such as your chosen language and theme.

Card activity

When someone opens a public card, we record basic counts such as views, link taps and QR scans, so the card owner can see how it performs. This is aggregated for the owner and is not used to build advertising profiles.

Referral links

If you arrive through a referral or promo link, the code may be kept in your browser so it can be applied when you create an account.

Managing storage

You can clear cookies and site data at any time in your browser settings. Clearing them signs you out and resets your saved preferences. Signed-in users can review consent options and export or delete their data under Settings → Privacy & data.
